SPX Genfare Launches Vendstar-e During The APTA Annual Conference In Seattle, WA
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Illinois (October 09, 2012) – SPX Genfare launched the Vendstar-e ticket vending machine (TVM) at the APTA Annual Conference in Seattle, Washington on September 30th. Vendstar-e is an innovative TVM designed to accept and process credit and debit cards and conveniently issue smart cards and/or magnetic cards for quick and easy passenger travel.
Responding to the changing market and increased client demands for debit and credit vending equipment, Genfare designed the Vendstar-e to be quick, convenient and reliable to effectively assist riders in purchasing or managing tickets and passes. Tony Sharma, Vice President of Business Development stated “Convenient and easy ticket vending is instrumental in aiding transit agencies to more effectively move passengers. Genfare is committed to developing a full suite of systems and products to meet client needs.”
Vendstar-e is a simple 3 step process: 1) select the type of ticket, 2) pay for the ticket, 3) dispense the ticket and go! Genfare is looking to simplify the rider experience to make each trip effortless and more enjoyable. Vendstar-e was designed as a stand-alone vending machine or in combination with Genfare’s fully integrated data collection systems.
