Genfare Welcomes New Sales and Marketing Leader, Accelerating its Growth Plans


Elk Grove Village, Ill. – March 17, 2020 – Genfare, a leader in fare collection solutions for transit agencies of all sizes, announces the hiring of its new Sales and Marketing Leader, Daria van Engelen.

Tasked as Genfare’s Chief Revenue Officer, Daria is a seasoned transit professional with a proven reputation for developing business, achieving growth, introducing innovation, and driving performance. She excels in executing both strategically and tactically by promoting customer engagement, gaining market, and increasing revenue.

Prior to joining Genfare, Daria served as a Business Development Senior Director at Cubic Transportation Systems, a Principal at North Highland Company, and a Business Development Director of Surface Transportation at Serco Inc.

van Engelen holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam, and a Bachelor’s degree in Government and Economics from Skidmore College. She is also a certified Lean Green Belt professional, having received the designation in 2018.
