Genfare Achieves ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 14000:2015 Recertification

Accomplishment reaffirms Genfare’s focus on operational efficiency and quality

Elk Grove Village, Ill. – February 7, 2019 – Genfare, a leader in fare collection solutions for transit agencies of all sizes, has been awarded an ISO 9001:2015 recertification for Quality Management System as well as an ISO 140001:2015 recertification for Environmental Management System.

International Organization for Standardization (ISO), is the source of the ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 groups of environmental and quality management standards. ISO is an organization of national standards instituted from 163 different countries operating in partnership with international organizations, governments, business, consumer representatives, and industry.

The ISO 9001:2015 certification is a globally recognized element that showcases Quality Management System (QMS) performance and requirements. It relates to the processes that inspire product and service quality. This element guides companies to help improve communications and efficiency, to align attribution with a wider business plan, and the implementation of endless improvement.

The ISO 140001:2015 certification lays out the principle for an environmental management system. It relates to the processes that inspire the company’s environmental performance. It helps identify and comprehend the organization’s external and internal context by finding the issues that relate to organization’s purpose and discovering the relevant conditions.
