We stand behind our Genfare products with industry-leading warranties. If you need repair or replacement for your Genfare farebox, we offer a simple process to getting the help you need. Even if your warranty has run out, we can help you get up and running as soon as possible after a quick estimate approval.

In addition to mail-in service for repair and replacement, we also offer onsite maintenance for larger projects. You can select from a one-time service or an ongoing maintenance contract. We also provide on-site training, online training, and in-house training at our Elk Grove Village, IL headquarters to provide the hands-on knowledge for agency staff to maintain and repair their Genfare products.

Farebox Part Repair or Replacement

To mail in your farebox part for repair or replacement, we offer a convenient 4 step process.

1. Call the Aftermarkets Parts Team

Whether your part is currently under warranty or not, we ask you to please contact our Aftermarket Parts Team at 847.871.1234 or genfare.aftermarket@spx.com. Our friendly representatives will generate an estimate, if necessary, and help you place a repair or replacement order.

2. Complete Your RMA (for non-warranty covered parts)

Once you’ve contacted our Aftermarket Parts Team, you will receive a Return Merchandise Authorization form. Sign this form and return it to us before shipping your item. This confirms your agreement to the estimated repair or replacement costs.

3. Prepare Your Shipment

If you are returning an item for repair or replacement, you’ll need to include in the packaging your signed RMA form or a purchase order. Make sure your part is well-packaged and cannot move inside the box during shipment. Please write the Repair or Return Order Number on the outside of the box as shown below.

4.Where to Send Your Parts

When addressing your package, choose the correct Attn line for your order type, and be sure to include your order number for faster processing.

It’s that Easy.

You may check the status of your repair or replacement by contacting your assigned Aftermarket Parts Representative. If you need your item sooner, you can expedite your order for 25% of your purchase order price (with a $40 minimum.)

In some cases, we may recommend a repair or replacement that costs more than the original estimate. If this happens, we will send a secondary RMA that will require another written authorization before work can begin.
