Genfare offers a variety of training options that range from introductory level webinars to in-depth, hands-on training. We highly recommend you attend training in our state-of-the-art facility. However, if you prefer on-site training, we can accomodate your request. If you don't see a particular topic or solution you'd like covered, please contact us and we'll put together a custom training program for your agency's needs.

Data System On-site Training

Course Description: Detailed overview of the Data System and its functionality. Learn to use the reporting tools (revenue, ridership, maintenance, operation, diagnostics, driver key, TRiM, security, and unclassified revenue reports), cashbox/bin ID, fare set and fare structure, keys and TTP, and media. Appropriate for personnel with any level of experience with the Garage Data System.

Course Duration: 2 days (1 day for set up)


Introduction to Data System Webinar (course 1 of 4 of complete Data System Training)

Course Description: Basic introduction to reporting tools. This webinar will specifically demonstrate how to run revenue and ridership reports, and proper edit list/edit data usage.

Advanced Reporting Webinar (course 2 of 4 of complete Data System Training)

Course Description: Advanced reporting tools. Learn to use and interpret event and trasactional reports, and how to identify and interpret stats for unclassified revenue. Includes an overview of techniques for "drilling" into report data.

Fare Structure Maintenance Webinar (course 3 of 4 of complete Data System Training)

Course Description: Detailed overview of fare structure maintenance and management. Topics addressed will include: fareset, key/TTP usage, ridership tab settings, attribute definition, and maintaining the menu.

Revenue Security Webinar (course 4 of 4 of complete Data System Training)

Course Description: Detailed look at techniques to improve revenue security: cashbox/bin ID usage, audit reporting, and risk reduction tips.

VIP Introduction Webinar

Course Description: Learn the basics of setting up and using the VIP application. Basic overview of installation and setup of the VIP application, logging in, interpretting TVM statuses, account management, card definition, and alarm settings.

VIP Advanced Webinar

Course Description: Learn advanced usage of the VIP application. Topics addressed include: reporting on sales, band cards, daily cards, transaction details, lost credit, and employee access, advanced VIP Genfare processes, and the appropriate handling of all error messages, events, or alarms.

PEM Webinar

Course Description: Learn to configure, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the PEM. Will include a basic overview of all screens, batch encoding, card replacement, using the configuration menu, and issuing replacement cards and change cards.

PEM On-site Training

Course Description: Learn to configure, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the PEM. Will include a basic overview of all screens, configuration files, batch encoding, TicketWizard.ini configuration, account management. Emphasis is on software usage rather than mechanical.

Course Duration: 2 days (1 day for set up)


VIP On-site Training

Course Description: Detailed overview of the VIP system. Learn to use reporting tools, navigate all screens, TVM configuration, and appropriate handling of all error messages, events, or alarms.

Fast Fare Training with TRiM at Genfare

Course Description: Learn to install, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the Fast Fare farebox. Includes a detailed overview of all major components of the Fast Fare (TRiM, cashbox, bill transport, coin bypass, electronic lock, pedestal/main bracket assembly, logic board, etc.), vaulting, and how to properly configure the farebox and install replacement components.

Course Duration: 5 days


Odyssey Training with TRiM at Genfare

Course Description: Learn to install, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the Odyssey farebox. Includes a detailed overview of all major components of the Odyssey (TRiM, cashbox, bill transport, coin bypass, electronic lock, pedestal/main bracket assembly, logic board, etc.), vaulting, and how to properly configure the farebox and install replacement components.

CENTSaBill Training with TRiM at Genfare

Course Description: Learn to install, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the CENTSaBILL farebox. Will include a detailed overview of all major components of the CENTSaBILL (TRiM, cashbox, bill transport, coin bypass, electronic lock, escrow, bill stuffer, pedestal/main bracket assembly, logic board, etc.), vaulting, and how to properly configure the farebox and install replacement components.

Course Duration: 5 days


CENTSaBill without TRiM at Genfare

Course Description: CENTSaBILL farebox training without TRiM training. Appropriate for agencies that do not use a TRiM, or technicians that have already received the appropriate CENTSaBILL TRiM training.

Course Duration: 3 days


TRiM only Training at Genfare

Course Description: TRiM training only. Advanced training course in TRiM usage, diagnostics, maintenance, and configuration. Appropriate for technicians at any level of familiarity with the TRiM unit.

Course Duration: 2 days


TVM Training at Genfare

Course Description: Learn about module configuration, how to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the TVM. Detailed overview of all screens (sales mode, maintenance mode, and revenue mode), bench testing and maintenance for all modules (ticket modules, coin dispensers, UPS, bill mechanism, alarm, credit pinpad), how to install firmware updates. Also includes training on money room operations for CTP, hoppers, coin cash box, bill stacker and bill validator.

Preventative Maintenance Training at Genfare

Course Description: Preventative Maintenance training for Genfare products. This course focuses on troubleshooting, testing various modules of the Genfare equipment, cleaning and replacing components, and strategies for maximizing the uptime of the equipment.

Course Duration: 6 hours


Gencare

Course Description: Training at customer location, covering topics such as: Data System, Operator Training, Farebox/Hardware maintenance. Genfare will provide 3 trainers, and the agency can determine the number of attendees (as determined by time and location constraints).

Course Duration: 3 days


Abbreviated Gencare

Course Description: Training at customer location, covering Operator Training, and either Farebox/Hardware maintenance or Data System Training. Genfare will provide two trainers, and the agency can determine the number of attendees (as determined by time and location constraints).
